The 2nd studio record with the amazing Sarah Bernstein. . .she plays violin and sings – but it’s a kind of free-wheeling vocalizing that’s uncategorizable. We decided to make an album inspired by Sleep. I realize that might not be immediately apparent – but we wanted it to be monolithic and also hit the listener in waves. It’s not so much free improv – as thematic improv. This one is on vinyl and download – the last album we did was on cassette and download – so we bumped things up a bit. I took the cover photo – it’s taken from inside the Sharon Hospital, 2nd floor. . .it was Feb 2019 and my mother was recovering from a fall. The album is brought to us by the people at 577 Records. . .one of the owners is also from my hometown of Lakeville, CT – which is pretty amazing!
