This is probably the definitive live set from the Man Forever European tour from 2017 in support of “Play What They Want.” It’s an amazing band, we’d been playing every night for 7 nights and we were joined by a particularly sensitive pianist Alexander Hawkins who basically did everything I asked him to do and more. It’s always amazing when people transcend your requests. This is the band that was on much of the album. . .it was a fun tour – I lost a lot of money on it but I wanted to try to present this music as best I could. . .even though that was a bit crazy of me. Thanks for Cafe Oto for bearing with me on the mix and the art – it went through many phases. One thing that’s incredible is that Remo Salvadori agreed to have his art on the “cover” (it’s a digital only release) for us. He’s an incredible Italian artist who should be more well known in the US. Hopefully soon. I’m friends with his wife and daughters! Thank to all – this album is amazing. I hope you dig it.
